Designed by William Hand Jr. Guildive was constructed in 1934 at the Wheeler Shipyard in Brooklyn, NY. Built for the Fish family, as a private yacht, she was originally launched as Restless and has sailed under the names Ishtar II and Sixpence. At 56’ long, 14.5’ beam, and 46 tons she is a grand and stable motorsailor. During Guildive’s life afloat she has sailed the waters from Canada to the Caribbean many times with her past 8 owners.

She has sailed mostly as a private yacht but has also patrolled the New Jersey and Long Island shores during WWII and help start the charter business in the Caribbean in the 1960’s. We are pleased to be offering her beauty and charm once again to the public. The designer, William Hand Jr., is known as one of the most prolific yacht designers from the 20th century.
Guildive is a very comfortable boat with a large semi-enclosed pilothouse perfect to cut the wind chill or duck from the rain. With an open deck forward and aft there is plenty of space to spread out, soak up the sun, and enjoy the crisp Maine air. With a maximum of 6 guests you are sure to get a personal an intimate experience.
