| Guildive Cruises June 2010 Voyage We are taking bookings for a 9 day passage for $675 per person. Each guest sailor is asked to participate in all daily operations including watch-standing throughout day/night, navigation, hemlsmanship, meal preparation, shipboard cleanliness, sail handling and trim. There are a total of 6 berths available and we welcome everyone including children over the age of 12, as long as they are accompanied by a parent or guardian. Each berth has comfortable bedding provided and ship board bathrooms are shared. No prior experience is necessary and your Captain and Mate will gladly ensure you gain proper instruction and a kind introduction to life at sea. |  |
| Built in 1934 Guildive was designed by William Hand Jr. as a Motor Sailer Yacht and constructed by the Wheeler Shipyard of Brooklyn, NY. She has served many funtions including patroling American shores during World War II. Today, we follow similar routes as we make our passage coastwise between Easton, Maryland and Castine, Maine. | | Captains Kate Kana and Zander Parker have gathered a wealth of knowledge and experience aboard ship. Both have sailed the coast of North America from Newfoundland to the British Virgin Islands and beyond to Iceland and the Cook Islands of the South Pacific. Captain Kana a hawsepiper has worked tirelessly to gain United States Coast Guard Licensing while Captain Parker attended Maine Maritime Academy and graduated with top honours. Throughout the passage guest sailors will gain insight and instruction from both Kate and Zander and maybe an occasional sea story too. |
 | Booking connections and port stops are relatively easy as Guildive will attempt to accommodate all our guest sailors itineraries. The most convenient airport to Easton Maryland is Baltimore's BWI and similarly the most convenient airport to Castine, Maine is Bangor International while the Portland, Maine Jet Port is also a reasonable option. There are Inns and Hotels available in both our destination and departure ports and we are happy to help and accommodate most everyones' reasonable requests, including pick up and deliveries to connecting airports. So as we come to book your passage aboard we will offer our eager assistance in planning your arrival and departure we will also be mindful of any dietary requests. |  |
